By clicking on a button, you can trigger a customized action such as email, EMS, or notification from your app. The idea is pretty self-explanatory and straight-forward. What we have been asked a lot recently is the action Webhook.
In one of AppSheet Office Hour webinars, we did a demo on how to tweet from AppSheet Office Hour App using Zapier Webhook. Simply clicking on the “Tweet” button, a tweet will be posted on your Twitter account, saying whatever you want to include in the tweet. In this case, we tweet when a webinar attendee asks a question.
This action is very helpful for events managers who want to promote an event on twitter. It allows the events manager to monitor, answer questions, and tweet in one place (right from the app) without having to switch between the app and Twitter.
Zapier is just one example. You can post to Slack, Twitter, IFTTT and a lot other web services. Check the demo here if you want to try this action out.
