A few weeks ago we announced the AppSheet add-on for Google Forms, which allows you to turn your forms and surveys into extraordinarily convenient and powerful mobile apps.
But did you know that the AppSheet add-on allows you to bring even more tailored and specialized features to your forms?
Once you've made a form, download the AppSheet app and click Go-- AppSheet immediately generates a mobile app for you based on that form. AppSheet reads the kinds of questions you have and makes sure to carry those over into the app. Behind the scenes, AppSheet has created a Google Sheet, which contains all of the form data and will also contain the responses once they're submitted.
But what if you need to collect signatures, as you often do in a form, take photos, or scan a code for a particular answer? Online forms can't collect this kind of data.
When you create an app on AppSheet from your Google Forms, you can include AppSheet's recognized column header types in your question titles (and use 'Text' as the question type)-- AppSheet will recognize the data type and present it as such. For a question with the word "Image" in it, AppSheet will produce a form entry that will take a photo within the app. Likewise, questions with the word "Scanner" will present as a scanner in your app.
AppSheet for Google Forms allows you the ability to take your forms mobile, and more importantly enables you to maximize their efficacy with sophisticated functions that are often required for mass data collection.
Give AppSheet for Google Forms a try, and let us know how it works for you!Post Comment
